We’re craftsmen bringing your vision to life with unparalleled professionalism, experience, and trust. Our journey began on March 3rd, 1995, when Jonathan, alongside his wife Alicia, channeled his lifelong passion for construction into creating a company that stands for quality and integrity.

Jonathan's expertise is backed by a BS in Building Construction from the College of Architecture at Virginia Tech. His career in construction has been a lifelong journey, filled with hands-on experience and a deep love for the building process. For Jonathan, nothing is more rewarding than seeing a project come together, from the installation of the front door to the final touches on the interiors.

After a job in commercial construction brought Jonathan to Winston-Salem, he decided to make this vibrant city his home. It was here that he met his wife Alicia, and together they established HBJL. Their first home won a gold award in the Parade of Homes, marking the beginning of many successful ventures.
